quote from yesterday
As we were walking along Mass Ave.:

Fan: Oh! That's a nasty cough you have.
Joss Whedon: No, actually, it's a good cough. Very loyal. It loves me and wants to stay with me forever.

This is how I'm starting to feel about the cold in my nose. How can a tablespoon of snot be coming out of it every half hour like this. At least without me losing weight, at least?

It's a protein with a lot of long sugar chains (polysaccharides), that is very hygroscopic. Which is to say, add a little water, and it gets MUCH more voluminous. And yet, it somehow doesn't pull all the water out of your head.

that might actually explain today's migraine, though, if much of the the liquid I've taken in lately is actually getting used for other purposes, since I know I get migraines when I don't drink enough things that aren't diet coke (I drank 2 20oz bottles of water during the signing, and about 5 glasses at Mary Chung's last night, and still felt thirsty all evening).
